DoP inaugurates Post Office at Miran Sahib

JAMMU, July 4: Department of Post (DoP) today inaugurated modern and new look Post Office at Miran Sahib.
The post office was inaugurated by Chief Postmaster General, John Samuel, in presence of MLA Gharu Ram and local populace of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, John Samuel, said that as a part of the J&K post office transformation plan, post offices in the State are being upgraded to make them customers friendly and relevant to the needs of the people.
He said that the Miran Sahib Post Office would function as a computerized post office offering mail services, speed post, registered post, post office saving bank and post office facilities.
John Samuel said that DoP is aiming at achieving “financial inclusion” by encouraging every household to have a saving account in the post office.
While speaking, MLA Gharu Ram, said that the Miran Sahib post office will be much beneficial to the public of the area.
Amit Sharma, Director, Postal Services, RL Bhardwaj, DDM (PLI) and JR Angural, Superintendent of Post Officers, Jammu Postal Division were also present.
