SHOPIAN, July 4: As a part of campaign against abseentism in the Government institutions, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian constituted team of officers to check the punctuality and attendance in schools, hospitals and other Government institutions.
The team conducted surprise inspection of various and found 86 officials absent against whom the disciplinary action has been initiated by placing them under suspension.
The Deputy Commissioner also recommended action against Medical Superintendent Shopian for remaining absent from duty and leaving the station without permission and his pay has also been stopped for remaining absent and in poor performance.
The Deputy Commissioner Shopian also associated the Sarpanchs of Panchayat Zainapora, Babapora, Reshipoira, Urpara Nagbal, Shrimal and Turkwangan in checking the punctuality and delivery of other services in their respective Panchayat Halqas.
