SRINAGAR, July 4: Two persons died while as 23 others including 12 school children were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Maruti Car JK01M/3466 collided with a motorcycle near Panchayat Bhawan, Zakura. The mishap resulted in injuries to three persons namely Farooq Ahmad Punjabi son of Ghulam Mohammad and Umar Farooq Punjabi son of Farooq Ahmad residents of Haftyarbal, Safa Kadal and Nasir Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Basar Bugh-Alasteng.
The injured were shifted to SKIMS-Soura, for treatment, where Farooq Ahmad succumbed to his injuries.
A Tipper on way from Dooru to Anantnag hit and injured a motorcyclist Aamir Bashir aged 20 years son of Bashir Ahmad and pillion mate Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Latief Ganie residents of Larkipora-Anantnag at General Road Dialgam-Anantnag. The injured were shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment, where Aamir Bashir succumbed to his injuries.
A Load Carrier JK01R/5183 hit and injured a cyclist Hilal Ahmad Matoo son of Ali Mohammad resident of Shalimar at Nishat, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Ford Figo hit and injured a bicycle rider namely Uzair Ahmad Wani son of Ashiq Ahmad resident of Bonamsar-Sonawar, at Gupkar Road, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A motorcycle JK01M/9023 driven by Gurdeep Singh son of Late Karam Singh resident of Rainawari met with an accident at Kral Sangri-Brien, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital.
A Santro Car JK0IL/6615 hit and injured a girl Tasleema Bano aged 22 years daughter of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Peer resident of Mamoosa-Pattan at Dhobiwan, Kunzar. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Magam for treatment.
A Tata Mobile JK09/5543 driven by Javid Ahmad Khan son of Anayatullah Khan resident of Kachahama hit and injured Mosim Ahmad Khan son of Reyaz Ahmad resident of Lone Haray at Meelyal-Kralpora, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Santro JK03B/5025 hit and injured a pedestrian Nazir Ahmad Khanday son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Khukerhama near Khukerhama-Damhal Hanjipora-Kulgam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
An excursion bus of Bumai Public School-Sopore while on way from Srinagar to Sopore rammed into a tree at Kripalpora-Pattan. The mishap resulted in injuries to 12 students and a teacher of the school. The injured have been shifted to different hospitals for treatment.
A Tipper JK01/4342 hit and injured a pedestrian Rafiqa wife of Gulzar Ahmad Shamam resident of Mansoor Colony-Bemina at Mansoor Colony. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The police has taken cognizance in all the cases.
