JAMMU, Mar 27: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary of JKTF, wherein threadbare discussion was made about problems being faced by the teaching fraternity.
The Forum demanded repatriation of the Masters, who have completed three years in remote areas, to their home district without any further delay.
While addressing the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria alleged that due to delaying tactics of higher authorities particularly in Jammu Division, the teachers are being promoted as masters after completing more years of service than their counterparts in Kashmir Division and in result the masters of Jammu Division become junior to the masters of Kashmir Division hampering further avenues of promotion as Head Master and Lecturers. He demanded permanent solution of this problem by conducting regular and speedy DPC on the pattern of Kashmir Division so that justice is delivered to the all.
Those who attended the meeting included Rajinder Gupta, Yograj Singh, Gopal Singh, Surat Singh, Darshan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Shankar Singh, Davinder Singh, Kuldeep Verma, Ghulam Hussain, Vinod Uppal, Subash Sharma, Gurjeet Singh, Rajesh Singh, Sushil Sharma, Joginder Singh, Rajnish Raina, Rajkumar Uppal and others.
