JKTF discusses demands

KATHUA, May 31: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Zone, Sallan district Kathua was held today in which Principal cum ZEO, Kewal Kumar was the chief guest and State general secretary of JKTF, Ganesh Khajuria was guest of honour.
The meeting discussed various demands including streamlining of SSA, RSMA, issue of surplus masters, salaries of head teachers, removal of pay anomalies of different cadres, holding of DPC of all cadres, enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 and other burning issues of teaching community.
In his address Ganesh Khajuria stressed upon the members of JKTF to work with devotion and dedication for the welfare and upliftment of students community as the JKTF is known for its work culture.
He further appealed them to gear up for strengthening the Forum at grass root level by highlighting the achievements of the Forum. He also apprised the new members about the pro struggle approach of the Forum and various feathers added to its cap since its inception.
He complimented the authorities of Education Department for conceding the long pending demands of holding DPC on quarterly basis raised consistently by the Forum. The new members of the Forum on the occasion vowed to fight under the banner of JKTF and assured full cooperation to it in future.
On the occasion an Adhoc Committee was constituted and Sanjeev Sharma was elected Zonal president, Deepak Sharma was elected as zonal general secretary, Munish Malgotra, Dharamvir Sharma, Subash Sharma, Bhushan Kumar , Raj Kumar Sharma, Kuldeep Raj, Asha Rani and Veena Devi as Executive members. Kewal Kumar Principal and others also addressed the meeting.
