JKTF discusses demands

JAMMU, Mar 4: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum ( JKTF) was held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, State general secretary of the forum and discussed the issues of teachers community.
The leaders of the forum expressed their resentment regarding the delay in the repatriation of the Masters of the districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua, who were promoted in the year 2013.
They discussed the issue of adjustment orders regarding of promote Masters who are awaiting their adjustment for the last two years. The meeting criticized the half-heartedly implementation of mid-day meal scheme for which grants are not released regularly resulting in great inconvenience, tension on the teachers in-charge of MDM scheme.
The forum stressed upon the early release of salary grants including pending DA arrears/ 6th Pay Commission instalments grants so that teachers can settle their Income Tax liabilities well in time.
