BGSBU organizes lecture on Indo-Arab cultural relations

JAMMU, Mar 4: The Department of Arabic, BGSBU, organized Hazrat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Lecture Series on the topic ‘Indo-Arab Cultural Relations: past and present perspectives’.
Dr Shad Hussain, former HoD Arabic, University of Kashmir, was invited as key speaker, who delivered the lecture on the topic. In his lecture, Dr Shad enlightened the gathering on the rich cultural relations between India and Arab world from the pre historic times.
Dr Manzoor Ahmed Khan, former Dean, Faculty of Oriental learning, University of Kashmir, also threw light on the topic and discussed the various aspects related to it.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor, BGSBU laid emphasis on learning of Arabic language and encouraged the department to hold such literary activities.
Dr Shams Kamal Anjum in his welcome address briefed the gathering about the objectives of the programme.
Deans of the faculty, HoDs, teachers, administrative officers of the university and the students of the department were present on the occasion.
