JAMMU, Oct 12: A delegation of JK Teachers’ Association (JKTA) led by its UT president Bhupinder Singh today met Director School Education (DSE) Jammu Anuradha Gupta in her office and highlighted the issues of teacher fraternity.
The delegation emphasized on implementation of complete benefits of 7th Pay Commission in favour of Grade ll/lll teachers from 2016 in the meeting with DSE Jammu. The members also projected demands viz. release of all pending salary arrears and DA arrears of Grade ll/lll Teachers and RReTs, conversion of all left out RReTs to Gradell/lll who acquired their qualification from outside UT of J&K and removing the tag of Gradell/ lll Teachers.
The stress was also laid on inclusion of five years service of RReTs, Gradell/ lll and 3rd Teachers for promotionary benefits, framing transfer policy in favour of Grade ll/lll, 3rd Teachers and RReTs, issuing directions to all CEOs of Jammu division to clear all pending files in time bound manner, release of the list of promotions for Masters, Lectures, Headmasters and ZEOs after every six months, raising teachers pay grade at par with the UT of Chandigarh and restoration of Old Pension Scheme in favour of teachers fraternity and scrap New Pension Scheme.
The DSE Jammu gave a patient hearing to the representatives of JK Teachers’ Association and assured them to resolve the genuine issues of teacher’s fraternity within short span of time.
Prominent among those who were part of the delegation were Joginder Digra, Farooq Daing, Parkash Shastri, Sunil Salaria, Pawan Kumar Verma, Tirth Singh, Shoket Chouhan, Varinder Sharma, Choudhary Farooq Tanha, Joginder Singh, Parveen Kumar and many others.
