JKSPA calls upon pensioners to continue struggle under LPEF

JAMMU, Nov 5: Endorsing his support to All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) headed by veteran trade Union leader, Abdul Majid Khan, president, Jammu unit of J&K State Pensioners Association (JKSPA), Krishan Singh, today called upon the pensioners to continue their struggle in protracted manner under the banner of LPEF to get all their outstanding grievances redressed.
He said on one hand the cost of living is rapidly becoming dearer day by day due to which the poor people and salaried classes are suffering while on the other hand the State Government headed by Omar Abdullah has proved that it is least bothered about the miseries and hardships of poor pensioners and employees by not releasing 10% and 7% DA installments which became due from January and July 2014, respectively.
Moreover, remaining portion of 6th CPC arrears which were payable in April 2014 has not been paid by the Government, he added. He also highlighted other demands like enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000.
