Jammu, Dec 28: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee has reiterated its demand that the Government should simultaneously redesign the comprehensive package for one time settlement of DPs as the Central Government is committed to provide more funds and the onus now lies on State Government to put the case to proper perspective.
Gurdev Singh, president, JKSAC along with Netar Prakash and Yog Raj Sharma termed the Rs 2000 crores package as a brief respite in long struggle of DPs. They expressed their disappointment over the lackadaisical approach of the Government for not clarifying the shape and details of this package.
He urged the Chief Minister to evolve a comprehensive strategy to resolve their issue taking into consideration all their demands.
On the other hand, Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee has welcomed the initiative of State Governmment to start the process for early disbursement of Rs 2000 crores as a relief among DPs of 1947 from PoK.
