JAMMU, May 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Reserved Category Empowerment Alliance  (JKRCEA) has threatened to launch agitation if the Union Government failed to protect  Dalits, Backward Classes  and minorities  in the country.
Addressing a press conference here today,  Sham Lal Bassan, president  Dalit Chetna Manch and senior member of JKRCEA expressed serious concern over some incidents  related to attack on SC community members at Saharanpur recently. He alleged that some people from the other community targeted the members of  SC  community   and tried to spread fear psychosis amongst physically, socially and economically weak people.
Bassan alleged that  this state of  affairs has been witnessed in UP under the administrative control of  BJP Chief Minister, Yogi Aditya Nath. It seems that BJP people are trying to create fear among the minorities and Dalits in the State. He condemned the incident  and demanded high level inquiry into the matter and action against the people involved.  A very wrong impression is going across the country with the acts of suppression of the UP Govt led by Yogi Aditya Nath, he added.

Dalit leader further alleged that casteism in UP has taken ugly  turn.  He claimed  that atrocities on SCs/ OBCs / STs have increased  after Modi Govt came to power. But with the coming of Yogi Govt in UP, the much terror is being created by the Saffron brigade in Utter Pradesh.  The promises made by BJP leaders  during elections have proved totally hollow. They only tried to raise their vote bank and exploited people. PM Modi must honour his promise  and work on his plank of ‘Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas’, Bassan said.
He warned to launch agitation in across the region if  the atrocities on the SCs and OBCs were not stopped.
