JAMMU, June 5: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has said that new recruitment rules for Class-IV posts would be against the interests of local youth of backward and under-developed districts and remote areas.
Reacting to the new recruitment rules JKPCC Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said thousands of applicants in various districts who had twice appeared for the selection tests for Class-IV posts earlier are left high and dry and have gone over-aged.
He also said that under new recruitment rules the local youth of districts with limited education facilities would be at loss in open competitions with youth of educationally advanced districts.
Sharma said that earlier only the local youth were eligible for district cadre posts in their respective districts except the candidates of scheduled caste categories.
“Now all including those from other parts of the country who qualify new domicile law would apply and compete with local youth with marginal marks,” he claimed.
However, Sharma welcomed additional marks for widows, orphans and other compassionate sections but demanded additional points for the candidates getting over-aged.
