JKNPP’s concern over increasing pollution in Samba

SAMBA, Jan 17: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has expressed concern over increasing pollution in Samba which has led to health hazards also.
At a press conference here, today Rajeshwar Singh, district president JKNPP Samba said that the pollution in Samba is increasing day by day due to the chemical industries which are situated in Samba.
He said the people of Samba are suffering from health related issues and the pollution has also affected the water bodies in various ponds and river Basantar. The water of river Basantar is so polluted that this water is not worth for drinking which people of Samba used to drink many years back, he added.
He said the water is harmful for the animals. The people of Samba also suffered from various skin diseases due to the pollution of  chemical industries.
He appealed to the Government to take proper steps and strict action against the chemical industries which are installed in Samba. He warned if Government failed to take strict action against these industries then Panthers Party will come on roads and block the National Highway in the coming days and government will be fully responsible for any mishappening.
Others who were present in the press conference included Rashmi Kant Khajuria Tehsil President,  Mohinder Singh Youth President,  Arun Khajuria Block President,  Vishav Singh,  Udhayveer Singh,  Narrotam Singh etc.
