Cong, AAP functionaries join NC

JAMMU, July 11: Provincial president, Youth National Conference (YNC) Jammu, Ajaz Jan has asserted that J&K National Conference is the only viable option for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jan expressed these remarks during a joining function organized at the National Conference headquarters in Jammu where scores of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress functionaries joined National Conference under the leadership of Ajaz Jan.
Those who joined the party fold include Dalbir Singh, Manpreet Singh, Prince Kumar, Amarjeet Singh, Makhan and Om Khajuria in presence of District president NC, Tajinder Singh, Gourav Kapoor, Sandeep Singh and Zameer Qureshi.
While welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Jan said that Aam Aadmi Party had supported the abrogation of Art 370 and people have now realized that abrogation of Art 370 gave them nothing but miseries. Therefore, parties like AAP that supported the 370 abrogation are under no circumstances acceptable to the people of J&K. He said that it is the reason why people are quitting other political parties.
Without naming BJP, the NC leader said that those who claimed themselves to be the saviours of Jammu stand, are totally exposed today. People of Jammu now realized that the BJP made tall promises not only before elections but even after abrogation of Article 370 just to befool them. He said that BJP has in fact betrayed the people of Jammu region by not fulfilling a single promise.
Jan said that NC is the only secular party in the Jammu and Kashmir and if people want to save J&K from the onslaught of encroachment of the right of the people here then National Conference is the only viable option and it is a matter of satisfaction that people at the grass roots level do understand this.
He urged the new entrants to remain present among the common people in the areas of their influence 24X7 and address their pressing issues. He also asked them to gear up their activities in view of coming elections.
