Expressed strong resentment over delay in conducting DPCs of all categories of employees, they said the DPC which is supposed to be held twice a year has not been conducted in last 4 years by the Department despite repeated representations to the concerned higher officers and during this period many health employees have been superannuated without getting the benefit of promotion.
The leaders said service subordinate recruitment rules (SRO-20) file is gathering dust in the office of Secretary-General Administrative Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu for last four months for the final approval but the Administrative Department failed to frame rules of promotion, leaving the employees no other choice than to go for protest.
“Government has also failed to resolve the salary issue of Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head-2211 Family Welfare as wages of FMPHWs have been pending for last five months and their families are on the verge of starvation,” they added.
The JKMEF leaders also urged the Government to grant registration to leftover Government Pharmacists under new Central Pharmacy Act 1948 Section 32-C which was implemented in J&K after revocation of Article 370.
They said to awaken the Government from slumber, JKMEF has decided to organize a one-day mega protest (jammu Challo programme) on May 12 at DHS Complex, Jammu. They appealed all the Health employees of Jammu Division to participate in the protest.
Prominent among those present in the press conference were Parfulat Singh, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Dharminder Singh, RP Singh, Jarnail Singh and Jaswinder Singh.
