JKGTF demands promotion of Masters to Headmasters

KATHUA, Jan 24: Jammu Kashmir Government Teachers Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of its Union Territory general secretary S Parveen Singh, here today and raised the burning issues of the teaching community, such as NPS, DPC, promotion in all streams, promotion of Master to Headmaster, etc.
Parveen Singh appealed to the higher authorities that all the vacant posts of Headmaster should be fulfilled without any delay. He said that 42 posts of Headmaster, out of 105, are lying vacant in district Kathua while 12 out of 43 in Samba, 40 out of 160 in Jammu, 51 out of 75 in Reasi, 35 out of 59 in Ramban, 27 out of 47 in Kishtwar. 56 out of 86 in Doda, 30 out of 73 in Poonch, 40 out of 113 in Rajouri and 25 out of 107 in Udhampur are lying vacant.
Those who attended the meeting, included Surjeet Singh Jasrotia, Jagdish Chander, Tersem Lal, Sunil Sharma, Angrez Singh, Mohan Lal and Bishan Dass.
