JAMMU, Apr 29: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) added another feather to its cap by launching its own Mobile Banking Application (JKGB m-BANK).
The Mobile Application was launched by Chairman of the Bank, Janak Raj Angural at Bank’s Head Office Narwal who lauded the team of Digital & Alternative Channel Cell, IT Department for fulfilling the long pending demand of customers for the latest digital services.
He acknowledged that the digital transactions are need of the hour and the bank aides its mission to make India a cashless economy. The launch of bank’s Mobile Application shall definitely boost the morale of Bank’s customers and he apprised that the Mobile Application is available on the Google Play Store and shall be made available on Apple Store soon.
Salient Features of Mobile Banking Application are Balance Inquiry, Funds Transfer, Mini Statement generation, Account Details, Card Hotlisting, PIN Generation, PIN Change and Nominee updation. Customer can also transfer funds using IMPS and NEFT Channels. The daily transaction limit shall be Rs 1 lakh per user. The Application is secure, customer friendly and is available round the clock.
Customers can now onwards carry banking operations through their mobile phones. Besides, requests like Cheque Book issuance and Debit Card can also be made using the App. Bank intends to integrate the application with BBPS (Bharat Bill Payment System) of NPCI for bill payments and shall provide customers with the facility to set his/her transaction limits for card usage on different channels in near future.
Davinder Bali, General Manager JKGB emphasized that the customers should not respond to fake calls and should not share their OTPs, PINs, card details with any person as bank never asks for the same.
D D Gupta, Chief AI&V, Jyotsna Garib (Incharge Digital & Alternate Channels of the Bank) and Mukul Mehta (HoD Information & Technology) were also present on the occasion.
