JKEEU delegation calls on DyCM

JAMMU, June 8: A delegation of J&K Electric Employees Union called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh at Srinagar. The delegation was led by Abdul Salam Rajpori, Central president JKEEU. Additional secretary HRM (PDD) Naresh Kumar , Additional Secretary to Dy Chief Minister, Narinder Khajuria and others were also present in the meeting.
The delegation demanded immediate action on 22 point charter of demands submitted by the Union.
The demands included creation of new posts as per actual requirement for newly established wings, circles, grid stations, receiving stations etc as department is already facing acute shortage of staff, covering the PDD employees under Risk cover and release of risk Allowance, modifications in SRO -381, classifying the working hours for employees and fixing emoluments for performing overtime.
It also demanded necessary modification in SRO 272 of 2008, by increasing the quota for considering the promotion of non SAC passed incumbents from 25 percent to 50 percent, covering of non gazetted PDD employees under health insurance scheme, declaration of PDD as technical Department, adoption of concrete policy for need base workers and release of monthly wages in time, release of actual pay scales as applicable and mentioned in SRO 381, proper accounting of employees welfare fund and host of other demands. The delegation discussed these demands thread bare with Dr Singh who assured them redressal of demands.
Manzoor Ahmed Bhat general secretary of the Union, Mohammad Maqbool Najar, chief organizer, Zahoor Ahmed Wani vice president, Mohammad Ashraf Dar secretary, Abdul Hamid Zaroo, accountant, Krishan Singh Jamwal provincial president Jammu, Deepak Tandon vice chairman, Kushal Sharma and others were in the delegation.
