JAMMU, Apr 13: MLA Udhampur, Pawan Gupta and SSP Udhampur, Shailendra Kumar Mishra today inaugurated two entrepreneurial units sponsored by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) under Seed Capital Fund Scheme in the district.
The entrepreneurial unit M/s Rim Stylers, owned by Anterjot Singh and M/s Ganpati Steel and Aluminum Works, owned by Ganpati Sharma, were inaugurated by MLA Udhampur and SSP Udhampur, respectively, in presence of Manager J&K Bank Udhampur and District Nodal Officer, JKEDI. Besides, many locals were present on the occasion.
Anterjot Singh is an undergraduate and has started an automobile accessories store, including that of popular bullet motorbikes under the name and style of M/s Rim Stylers. Ganpati Sharma has started a steel and aluminum fabrication store to cater to the local demand. JKEDI has trained and sponsored both the budding entrepreneurs under its Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) to help them earn a decent livelihood.
Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (J&KEDI) is the first stop on the entrepreneurship road to start and expand a successful business venture in the State of J&K. To impart training and provide financial linkage is part of the Institute’s ongoing process to reach every nook and corner of the State of Jammu and Kashmir and equip the unemployed youth with life sustainable business skills. The training program is generally aimed at providing lessons on skill development, performance improvement as well as business cum sector specific and self-development training to the participating youth.
