JKDT to release 50% staff salary for strike period, 20 % bonus

JAMMU, OCT 22: The J&K Dharmarth Trust (JKDT) has decided to release 50% of the salary amount of employees for the period of agitation in three equal installments with effect from November 1, 2021, besides, a 20% Diwali bonus to the employees.
In a statement issued today, Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee of the Dharmarth Trust, said “The J&K Dharmarth Trust had initially decided to apply the principal of ‘No Work, No Pay’ regarding the payment of salaries to the employees for the period of agitation. However, subsequent to the MoU dated April 22, 2021 and in pursuance of the mutually agreed terms the Trustees in meeting held recently with the management resolved to reconsider the payment of salaries to employees for the period of agitation.
“In view of the regrets expressed by the Employees Association for their unpleasant behavior and the resultant adverse impact on the Trust during the agitation period, the Trustees have decided on compassionate grounds to review their decision and a final reconciliatory gesture have decided to release 50 per cent of the salary amount for the period of agitation in three equal installments with effect from 01.11.2021. In addition to this, I have announced a 20 per cent Diwali bonus to the Dharmarth Trust employees,” Dr Karan Singh added.
