JKDEA deputation takes up issues with MoS Finance

UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: A deputation of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association (JKDEA), Jammu, led by its president, Upinder Singh, today met Minister of State (MoS) for Finance, Pawan Gupta here at PWD Guest House and apprised him of the issues confronting the Diploma Engineers.
The deputation told the Minister that a Diploma Engineer is being given Rs 30 per month as fix Travelling Allowance, which is a grave injustice as every diploma Engineer is supposed to cover a minimum distance of 15 to 20 km per day while performing duty. He demanded enhancement of FTA from Rs 30 to Rs 5000 per month.
The Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured the deputation that the anomaly with regard to FTA shall be removed soon and also assured that the other pending demands of the association shall also be given due consideration.
Prominent among those who accompanied the deputation include Anil Gupta, Narinder Singh, Naresh Sawhney, Arunesh Sharma and Vinay Sharma.
