DODA, Sept 9: To provide a platform for showcasing local sporting talent, a wrestling competition was organized by Rashtriya Rifles battalion under Delta Forcein association with Bhallesa Dangal Committee at Gundoh, here.
Around 80 wrestlers hailing from states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi participated in the competition spread over two days. The event was witnessed by large crowds throughout with great enthusiasm and fervour.
The event was witnessed by Dalip Singh Parihar, MLA Bhaderwah, SDM Gundoh, SDPO Gundoh and Commanding Officer of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Delta Force.
In the final bout, Tariq Ahmed from Chilli and Nisar Ahmed from Bhallesa emerged joint winners as the match ended in a tie.
The winners prize money of Rs 50,000 was shared among these wrestlers.
The chief guest complimented the efforts of Indian Army and Bhallesa Dangal Community for successful conduct of the event.
