JAMMU, Nov 16: Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) Working Committee held a meeting under the supervision of its Chairman Gurmeet Singh on pre decided agenda “Merger of Agriculture Extension Assistant and Junior Agriculture Extension Officer Posts falling under Agriculture Production Department”.
Speaking on the occasion Gurmeet Singh said that the file regarding the merger of AEAs to JAOs is lying with Agriculture Production Department at Civil Secretariat Jammu from last one year as both the cadre are catering the same assignment/job profile.
“AEAs fraternity is working for the welfare of the agriculturist of the Union Territory on the door step of the farmers community and delivering all Central Sponsored Schemes of the Government of India for doubling the farmers income by 2020 as per PM’s vision”, Singh added.
During the meeting, the Chairman and all other members have appealed to Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu and Secretary Manzoor Ahmad Lone to provide conclusive administrative redresses pay parity with equal grade pay at par with graduate JAEOs.
Members of the committee present during the meeting were Ramandeep Singh, Vivek Sharma, Prakrit Singh, Puneet Mahajan, Vinod Sharma and Harmeet singh.
