JKATA seeks exemption from biometric attendance for AEAs

JAMMU, July 29: J&K Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) has appealed Khursheed Ahmed Ganai, Advisor to the Governor, for consideration of exemption of Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs) of Department of Agriculture from marking biometric attendance.
“Agriculture Extension Assistants are working in far-flung/remote areas of various districts. Head quarters are very far away from their working place and it is impossible to mark biometric attendance on daily basis”, said Dr Surinder Radotra, president, JKATA.
“Hilly terrain of the Panchayats makes the working of field staff more difficult in absence of conveyance and many other factors. If on daily basis biometric attendance has to be marked it will be impossible to reach back to working place from head quarters”, he said and requested the Advisor to provide immediate relief to field staff (AEAs) by exempting them from biometric attendance.
