JAMMU, Mar 9: Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) held a protest against delay in the regularization of Rehber-e-Zirats due since April 2015.
Large number of ReZs assembled at Exhibition Ground near Press Club and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
While speaking, State President, JKATA, Dr Surinder Radotra said that this was the duty of the Government to publish the list of regularized ReZs in April 2015 but the Government failed miserably.
“We waited patiently for last 8 months for the list publication but there was no result. As we all know that the Agriculture Technocrats (Rehber-e-Zirats) of both the regions Jammu and Kashmir are hand to mouth and are struggling in upbringing our families”, he added.
Dr Radotra said that as they hoped that the representatives they had elected to run the Government would resolve their long pending process of regularization, but nothing was done by them.
“We are not understating why the list has been delayed as we know that the first list was published after the delay of 11 months. Will we have to come on roads again”, Dr Radotra questioned.
He warned to launch agitation if Government failed to publish the regularization list at the earliest.
Among others present were Maneet Singh, senior vice president, JKATA, Jyoti Chib, general secretary, Harmeet Singh, Umesh Khajuria, Raj Bamral, Balwinder Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Satvinder Pal Singh, Jatinder Verma, Anees Sohail, etc.
