JKAP protests against poor power, water supply

JAMMU, July 1: J&K Apni Party (JKAP) today staged a protest demonstration against unscheduled power cuts, poor water supply, bad roads and lack of street lights.
The protest was joined by JKAP leaders including Vaibhav Mattoo, Gurvinder Bhatia, Raj Kumar Lagotra, Amandeep Singh, Vipul Bali, Darshan Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Rahul Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Sham Lal and others.
Speaking on the occasion, JKAP leader, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan alleged that Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner and Mayor have neglected Ward number 40 which includes Talab Tillo area because of which the public is facing problems.
JKAP leader, Gurvinder Bhatia claimed that JMC has not installed street lights in the Ward and condition of roads and lanes is also dilapidated there which is causing problems for commuters and locals.
“There is a shortage of drinking water and uninterrupted power supply continues to make the lives difficult for the people in hot summers,” alleged Vaibhav Mattoo.
The protesters said if their demands are not fulfilled within two weeks then they will intensify their agitation.
