JKAACL releases Nehvi’s book ‘Khamosh Asmaan’

JAMMU, Nov 17: J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL) today released Prof Neelofer Naz Nehvi’s book at a function held at its Seminar Hall here.
The book titled “Khamosh Asmaan” is a collection of essays. Organized by JKAACL, the book release function was presided over by member, State Accountability Commission, Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani (Rtd).
Secretary of the Academy, Dr Aziz Hajini, Ghulam Khayal and Prof Neelofar Naz Nehvi were also in the presidium. As part of the function, Dr Mushtaq Haider and Dr Fareeda Koul presented in-depth papers on Nehvi’s book.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Aziz Hajini said that he was glad to be part of the events which aim at promoting language and literature.
“Academy as an institution has to promote languages and literature and our endeavour is to provide platform to writers of various shades so that proper representation of State’s rich and diverse culture could be ensured,” Dr Hajini said.
In his presidential address, Justice Kirmani lauded the efforts of the writer in coming up with her collection of essays. He wished a bright future to the writer. Prominent writer, Ghulam Nabi Khayal also spoke on the occasion.
Among others the event was attended by Dr Rafiq Masoodi, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Shahzada Saleem, Salamudin Bajad, Syed Yaqoob Dilkash, Dr Nazir Mushtaq and Nusrat Andrabi, most of whom also spoke on the occasion.
