SRINAGAR, Nov 17: S.P. College Srinagar today organised “Autumn Knockout Football Tournament “(AKFT) in which 10 teams are participating which will be played in the college Football ground.
The Principal of the College, Dr. Yaseen Ahmad Shah while interacting with the players said that S P College football team has the honor of being the first football team of Kashmir, which went to play outside the state in 1932.
Mr. Shah highlighted the importance of football curricular and extracurricular activities and encouraged the students to take part in such recognized tournaments.
In the first match of the tournament, New Convent Hr. Sec. School Barzulla defeated S.A.M. Degree College Budgam by 4 to 3 (4-3) while as the Second match was played between GDC Pulwama and GDC (Boys) Anantnag which was won by GDC (Boys) Anantnag (7-1).
