JAMMU, June 10: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL organized ‘Meet-the-Author’ programme to have a direct interaction with Dr. Raj Kumar, renowned Hindi writer and poet of National fame.
At the outset, Bharat Singh delivered welcome address and said that JKAACL has started this series to promote direct interaction with author whom we have read in books.
A face of Hindi Literature in J&K State, Dr. Raj Kumar published research criticism of Mythak Aur Aadhunik Kavita-1986, Nai Kavita Mein Mythak-1989, Kavita: Ek Sandharbh Aur Parakh-1994, Kavita Mein Sanskritik Chetna-1998, Jammu Kashmir Ka Swatantaroutar Hindi Sahitya: Ek Vivechan-1999, Kavita: Swabhav Smeeksha-2010 and Shivalik Ke Chhetra Mein Hindi Kahani Ka Udbhav Aur Vikas-2015.
Besides poetry he also wrote short stories like Khule Haath-1985, Jaal-1990 etc.
He has may awards to his credit few among them were ‘Prize to non-Hindi Speaking Hindi writers’ by then President of India, Dr. Shanker Dyal Sharma, the J&K Cultural Academy Best Book (Hindi) Award for the year 1986-87 on the book entitled ‘Khule Haath’, ‘Prize to Non-Hindi Speaking Hindi Writers’ of Central Hindi Directorate, New Delhi for the year 1995-96 on the book ‘Kavita Ek Sandharbh Aur Parakh’.
Dr. Rattan Basotra, Editor Dogri conducted proceedings while Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor-cum-Cultural Officer, Gojri presented the vote of thanks.
