DM Kupwara writes for FIR against pvt clinic

Srinagar, June 10: The District Magistrate of Kupwara, Dr Doifode Saggar Dattatray, has officially requested the lodging of a First Information Report (FIR) against a private clinic in the area following the allegations related to medical negligence that purportedly led to the death of two patients.
Dr Dattatray, in this regard, has expressed his concerns to the Superintendent of Police (SSP), Yougal Manhas, urging the initiation of an FIR and an investigation into the operations of the ‘ESS BEE’ clinic.
According to the letter to the SSP, two individuals named Mudasir Rashid Sofi, son of Abdul Rashid Sofi, resident of Potushahi, Lolab, and Tahira Begum, wife of Qaiser Ahmad Wani, resident of Tikipora Lolab reportedly lost their lives due to alleged medical negligence at the ESS BEE clinic in Kupwara.
The District Magistrate has emphasized the gravity of the situation, calling for the immediate lodging of an FIR and the commencement of a preliminary investigation into these incidents.
Furthermore, it has noted that an ongoing inquiry into the matter was already initiated by the District Magistrate’s office through Order number DCK/2023/209/977-80, dated May 16, 2023.
