JAMMU, Nov 30: District Development Council (DDC) Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan has asserted that the unprecedented overall development witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir today is the result of sincere commitment of BJP Government and J&K administration for the progress and prosperity of the people of this sensitive Union Territory.
He reiterated that Union Government stands fully committed to the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing a gathering after kick-starting road macadamization work in Gharota area today. This road project from Gharota- Fagwari to Bann has been taken up under PMGSY and is estimated to cost Rs 58 lakh.
Bharat Bhushan said that the execution of various works which had got stalled to a great extent due to the ongoing pandemic has now been initiated and all the roads pending will be macadamized in a phased manner. He asserted that special care will be taken in the execution of different works including the present one so that the quality can be maintained. He said that after the completion of this road work, the life of the road is also going to increase thus leaving less scope for dilapidation. He said that he will fully focus on his constituency for providing good roads.
The DDC Chairman also interacted with the residents of the area who apprised him of their problems. He listened patiently to them. Taking note of all the genuine demands he assured to get their grievances redressed at the earliest.
He appealed to the residents of the area to become proactive and remain vigilant about the ongoing works in their area. He added that more works are in the pipeline and shall be taken up soon in the near future.
