J&K reports 192 COVID +ve cases, Ladakh 14

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Dec 9: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 192 cases of COVID-19 while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 14 fresh positives.
No Coronavirus casualties were reported in the UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh today.
Kashmir division registered 134 cases and Jammu division 58.
Among 58 cases in Jammu region, the highest 33 were reported from Jammu district followed by six in Poonch, four each in Udhampur, Rajouri and Kathua, three each in Reasi and Kishtwar and one in Doda.
Samba and Ramban districts didn’t report any new cases. Ramban is the only district in Jammu region which has zero active positive cases.
All three positive cases in Reasi district were travelers who were found infected on their arrival at Katra Railway Station.
As against 58 new cases, 26 recovered from the virus.
Jammu region’s Corona count has now reached 1,25,516. Of them, 1,22,837 have recovered from the virus while there have been 2189 casualties. There are 490 active positive cases in the region.
Among 2189 COVID fatalities in Jammu, 1153 have been reported from Jammu district, 238 in Rajouri, 152 Kathua, 138 Udhampur, 134 Doda, 120 Kathua, 100 Poonch, 67 Ramban, 44 Kishtwar and 43 in Reasi district.
However, highest 203 active positive cases are in Reasi district followed by 179 in Jammu, 33 Doda, 27 Poonch, 17 Rajouri, 14 Kathua, seven Samba, six Udhampur and four in Kishtwar district.
District Magistrate Jammu Anshul Garg today declared Lane No. 28 in Tawi Vihar area of Sidhra as micro Containment Zone following COVID positive cases reported from there.
All 14 Corona positive cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported from Leh district.
Ladakh now has 230 active positive cases including 211 in Leh district and 19 in Kargil.
Corona count in Ladakh stood at 21749. Out of them, 21304 have recovered from the virus and there have been 215 casualties—157 in Leh and 58 in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 134 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 65 from Srinagar, 24 from Baramulla,19 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 5 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 7 from Bandipora and 10 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 212,874 including 209,368 recoveries and 2,300 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,696 including 1,206 from Kashmir division.
With 135 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,205 which is 98.18 percent of the total cases.
