Proprietors of M/s HIRRA Consultations booked for defrauding

JAMMU, Dec 9: Crime Branch Jammu has booked proprietors of M/s HIRRA Consultations and Services Pvt Ltd, Mohali (Punjab) for defrauding and cheating a woman on the pretext of arranging permanent settlement abroad.
A criminal case of cheating under the relevant sections of law against both the proprietors Reet Koura, daughter of Balwinder Singh of Sector 79, SAS Nagar Punjab and Kulvir Singh Koura, son of Dalip Singh, resident of VPO Makorar Sahib Tehsil Moonak, Sangrur, Punjab, has been registered for their involvement in defrauding the complainant- of hard earned money to the tune of Rs 3,41,000 on the pretext of arranging her permanent settlement abroad – viz Canada under SINP Program.
The case owes its origin to a written complaint lodged by Geeta Anand wife of Raj Kumar of Durga Nagar, who wanted to go abroad i.e. Saskatchewan, Canada for permanent settlement under SINP programme for which she approached HIRRA Consultation & Services Pvt Ltd. She paid an amount of Rs 3, 41,300 in various installments to the consultancy which adopted delaying tactics on one pretext or other and duped her of her money.
On receipt of the complaint a preliminary verification was initiated and during the course of enquiry, the allegations were substantiated. The omissions and commissions on the part of the suspects- proprietors of M/s HIRRA Consultation & Services Pvt Ltd s prima-facie constitute offences punishable under section 420 RPC. Accordingly, a formal case was registered in P/S Crime Branch, Jammu for in-depth investigation.
