The police spokesman said that a demolition drive was launched at identified drugs hotspot “Balole Khad” in Bari Brahmana area of Samna district as part of a focused anti-narcotics enforcement action being conducted jointly by district police and the civil administration against illegal structures.
The demolished illegal structures had become a safe haven for drug peddlers and habitual offenders involved in heroin trafficking, he said.
The drive, he said, was led by Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Anuj Kumar, along with Civil Administration in which approximately 50 Kanals of land valuing around Rs.60 crores encroached by the drug peddlers has been retrieved.

He said that the area has been under continuous surveillance and several notorious drug peddlers operating from here have a long criminal history having been involved in more than 35 FIRs.
