JAMMU : Authorities of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir today discussed the issues related to Cross LoC trade and travel in a meeting held at Zero Point at Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch district of the state.
The meeting was held this morning between District Administration Poonch, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Sajad Ahmed Khan – the Nodal Officer Cross LoC Trade and Travel Chakkan-Da-Bagh and Director General Trade and Travel (Pok) Mohammad Ismail.
‘The authorities of both the sides discussed issues related to trade and travel,’ official spokesman here said adding that the Deputy Commissioner Poonch raised the issue of maximum clearance of permits in favour of Indian people saying that a number of applications for the clearance of permits were lying pending with Pok authorities.
The currency related issues were also raised by Mr Khan with Director General Trade and Travel (Pok).
Meanwhile Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch Shamsheer Hussian and Custodian TFC Chakkan-Da-Bagh Mohammad Bashir Lone raised the security related issues with Pok authorities.
The Director General Trade and Travel (PoK) Mr Ismail assured to take immediate action upon the issues raised by the Indian Authorities and to strengthen the CBMs to promote the Cross LoC Trade and Travel. (AGENCIES)
