J&K no longer security threat: NISA head

JAMMU, Sept 24: The J&K can no longer be a security threat a label attached to it but a security provider as New Industrial Security Agency (NISA) is training 900 security executives from the State for their placement in reputed companies, banks and five star hotels all over the country.
This was stated by Dipanjan Chakraborty the national training head of NISA a global security agency in an interactive session with the youth after concluding the three day long recruitment drive here today. He appealed the youth to take a chance and participate in the recruitment drive launched by NISA under Udaan project.
Allaying the fears of J&K youth, about Udaan, he said the previously the output was wrong due to lack of proper monitoring by the Government.
Dipanjan said the youth of J&K have some apprehensions as previously the candidates selected under Udaan project from the State as security executives could not get proper placement and training as money was given to the agencies in advance by the Government.
He said now the Udaan Project for J&K is being monitored directly from PMO and there is a separate Ministry of Skill Development for the same. Now the policy has been changed and a fixed amount is given to each candidate during his four month long theoretical training and two months corporate training.
He said NISA is a Mumbai based security agency which is in the field for last 43 years and it has 56,000 employees on its role with a annual turn over of Rs 600 crore.
He said the NISA has a tie up with 3000 to 4000 plants all over the country where these candidates can be absorbed. The main companies he named in this regard are Tata Steel, Reliance, Adhani, Tata Motors, Axis Bank, SBI, IBM, Microsoft etc. He said under the three years project starting from this year to December 2018 about 900 youth are to be selected for placement.
They will be senior to security officers and it is a management level job. He said the person appointed as security executive can rise to the level of Operational manager or Security Manager within eight to 10 years.
He said the candidates selected by NISA become certified security expert, who are also given training in martial art and taught one foreign language.
He said the agency is bound to provide job as per the guidelines given by PMO.
