SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said the Government is committed to continuing the incentives under the State’s Industrial Policy to create enabling environment for top IT firms.
“My focus is on creating enabling environment in the State for top IT firms.
To maximise the opportunities of employment in the IT sector, we are committed to continuance of incentives under the State’s Industrial Policy”, Sayeed said here during a meeting with Reliance Group’s high-level team.
The Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group announced that it would make a 500-seater call centre functional here from April next year, an official spokesman said.
He said the Reliance Group team is in Srinagar to work out modalities for setting up call centres in the twin capital cities of the State.
The team made a presentation on key enablers like infrastructure facilities, manpower and technology to be adopted for the call centres.
The proposed call centre at Srinagar is expected to provide employment to 1,500 youth, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
