SUNDERBANI, Dec 26: Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department of J&K Grameen Bank is conducting a State wide campaign regarding social security schemes, including PMSBY & PMJJBY wherein the people are insured at a nominal premium of Rs 12 and Rs 330 respectively.
Most of the beneficiaries belong to unorganized sector, including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour etc. After a span of more than one year, 100 percent claim settlement rate is maintained by the bank and the nominee of the insured person get a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh.
Recently, J&K Grameen Bank organized a programme in which R K Narang, Regional Manager Rajouri & Poonch was the chief guest. The lump sum amount of Rs 2 lakh regarding PMJJBY claim was handed over to the nominee of the insurer, Swarna Sharma by Sarpanchs and Panches of the area namely Krishan Lal and Kundan Lal.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipan Gupta, Sr Manager, MF&FI Department, spoke at length about the ongoing J&K Grameen Bank Festival Bonanza – 2017 with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest of 0.5% for two wheeler loans for females, No processing charges on car, housing and two wheeler loans. He informed about the benefits of social security schemes namely (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. The thrust was also given on various IT products like RuPay cards, SMS Alerts, NEFT/ RTGS and Immediate Payment Services (IMPS).He also added that the interest rates on loans and advances in JKGB are lowest amongst other banks. A number of new schemes are introduced by the bank for financing under Agriculture/Horticulture and setting up of industries in J&K State. Bank has already financed various industrial units in SIDCO Complex, Samba.
DDM NABARD, Des Raj was also present on the occasion and spoke about various schemes of NABARD.
Besides the gathering, the other dignitaries of the villages were also present on the occasion. Ramesh Singh, Dogra, Branch Head Sunderbani, delivered vote of thanks.
