J&K gets over Rs 100 cr for Swachh Bharat

SRINAGAR, June 11: Government today said it received Rs. 107.13 crore from Government of India for implementation of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ in the State.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Javeed Ahmad Rana in Lower House, Minister Incharge stated that an amount of Rs. 107.13 crore has been received by department from Government of India for the implementation of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ since its launch on October 2, 2014 in the State.
The criteria adopted for the distribution of funds is population of the district and the districts further distribute it accordingly to the population of the constituency, the Minister stated.
