J&K delegates participate in ABRSM convention on New Education Policy

JAMMU, Nov 10: Delegates from Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory participated in the three- day 7th national convention of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh on New Education, which was held at Ganpat University, Mahesana Gujarat.
Dr Romesh Pokhriyal Nishank , Union Minister for HRD; Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi, Sar-Karyavaha of RSS and Nitin Bhai Patel, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat were the chief guest, chief spokesperson and special guests, respectively during the concluding session.
More than two thousands delegates, including the eminent educationists from all over the country participated in this Rashtriya Adhiveshan (national convention), which had 12 session. Total 98 delegates from J&K Union Territory participated in this Rashtriya Adhiveshan.
Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi , while addressing during the concluding session, said that ABRSM is the only organisation in the country which is working whole heartedly for the society and education unlike other organisations which work for their own vests interests. He said that the present education is only informative but not knowledgeable and hoped that the New Education Policy would overcome these shortcomings. He said that India is changing at high speed and there is need for us to update ourselves with these changes.
HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, while addressing the delegates, stressed upon the teaching fraternity to work whole heartedly and honestly for infusing and fostering cultural values in the students so that we may able to restore its previous status ‘Vishwaguru’. He said that the New Education Policy is almost ready to be announced soon, which will bring many changes in the education as per our needs.
Nitin Bhai Patel, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat also spoke during the occasion. Prof J P Singhal hoped that the outcome of healthy discussions during the three days would reach at grass root level.
The delegates from J&K included Dev Raj Thakur, Dr Jaspal Singh, Rattan Sharma, Pardeep Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Radha Krishan, Neeraj Sharma, Kartar Chand, Gurdeep Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Narinder Kumar, Dr Khem Raj, Pritam Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Mohan Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Satya Bushan and others.
