J&K Bank organizes financial literacy camp

KATHUA, Mar 2: A financial literacy camp was organized today by J&K Bank Billawar in collaboration with NABARD at village Sukrala in tehsil Billawar.
The camp was presided over by Branch Manager of the Bank along with staff members. The main focus of the financial literacy camp was to make people aware about being associated with banking system.
The Branch Head, Vinay Gupta talked about financial planning and budgeting, basics of savings, basics of credit, insurance, money transfer, etc. He laid emphasis on self-help groups and the importance of saving bank account.
Dheeraj Goswami, Credit Officer, J&K Bank, apprised about the various social security schemes viz. Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana, Prime Minister Suraksha Beema Yojana, Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, etc.
Jaswant singh, Manager Advances, J&K Bank, talked about the various loan schemes of the bank including Prime Minister Mudra Yojana, KCC, DRI, etc.
Sarpanch of the area, Beli Ram, Business correspondent, Mukesh Khajuria, Head Master, High School, Sukrala, Gulshan Gupta and other citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
