JAMMU, Mar 29: The MD & CEO of J&K Bank, Baldev Prakash, has launched JKB e-Pathshala, the bank’s first staff portal, a unified e-learning platform designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the bank’s staff.
The launch event was attended by the bank’s Executive Director, Sudhir Gupta, General Managers, senior officials, and representatives from K-Nomics (Mintbook), the company that developed the module.
The MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash, praised the concerned department for creating such a vibrant e-learning portal and urged the staff to take full advantage of the courses and training programs tailored to upgrade their knowledge levels about contemporary issues and practices in banking and finance.
He also highlighted the need for the bank to develop a learning culture, given the sweeping changes happening in knowledge-driven sectors like banking.
Earlier, General Manager (Human Resource), Sushil Gupta, said that the e-learning platform employs gamification techniques such as coins and badges, leaderboards, quiz hours, forums, and query-corners, allowing the employees to avail real-time support from subject-domain experts.
“It includes various learning modules from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), with a special focus on training material related to credit, Forex, Treasury operations, and information security,” he said.
Notably, the advanced e-learning platform enables employees to access the courses online and allows the bank to manage training initiatives both online and offline. Moreover, it has a digital library with eBooks from reputed publishers.
Through this platform, the bank staff can now undertake mandatory training and certificate courses from the comfort of their homes or anywhere. The platform will also encourage healthy competition among the staff, with the best performers getting rewarded suitably.
