J&K Bank holds financial literacy camps in Budgam, Reasi

SRINAGAR, Oct 6: J&K Bank organized a financial literacy camp at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam.
FLCC Centre Budgam conducted the camp in auditorium of the school to inform the students and staff about the relevant products and services of the Bank suitable for their economic growth and empowerment.
Facilitator FLCC A H Rafiqi spoke about the utility of savings and financial management through various banking products like Saving, Recurring or Fixed Deposit Schemes.
He gave a detailed overview of credit facilities under Education and Laptop Finance schemes which the banks have formulated to improve their educational qualifications and development of their career.
The Lead District Manager (LDM) Budgam Mohammad Yaqoob reiterated the Bank’s commitment regarding financial inclusion to enable the under privileged sections of society come within the formal banking fold through No Frill Account, Micro Credit Cards and other Government sponsored schemes.
Meanwhile, the Bank organised a Kissan Credit Camp at Dharmari in Reasi, which was attended by hundreds of farmers. District Development Commissioner Reasi Nirmal Sharma was the chief guest.
Distributing 300 KCC cards on the occasion, DDC appreciated the role of Bank and asked the farming community to come forward and avail the credit facility for their economic development.
Cluster Head Reasi P P Gupta highlighted the achievements of Bank saying that the Bank was trying to provide KCC to each and every farmer in the State.
The pamphlets were also distributed among 400 farmers for their awareness.
LDM Reasi R Lochan also spoke on the occasion while as Head B.U Dharmari G Dubey presented the vote of thanks.
