RAJOURI, Aug 23: With a view to educate the people particularly women of the rural areas about its different credit and deposit schemes, J&K Bank RSETI Rajouri today organized awareness camp at Palma in Block Rajouri which was attended by a large number of people particularly women.
Zonal Head Jammu (West) R K Chhibber presided over the programme, which was attended by Lead District Manager Rajouri, Arvind Kapoor.
Speaking on the occasion, he advised the Director RSETI to organize such programmes on regular basis so that the rural people are made aware about the banking services along with the Government sponsored schemes.
The Bank is on its way to include every individual in the formal financial ambit so that the fruits of development reach everyone in the State, he added.
Director RSETI Rajouri, Harjinder Singh Sasan, along with the staff educated the people about different deposit schemes like Saving, Recurring, Recurring plus, Mehandi deposit scheme etc and asked them to open No-frill Accounts in their nearest possible Business Units.
The team also explained in detail the way to apply for loans under sponsored schemes likes SGSY, PMRY, KVIC, and SKEWPY.
Account opening forms were distributed among the participants on the occasion.
Counseling people Director RSETI talked about different loan schemes for starting small business ventures like tea stall, kiryana or a tailoring unit under DRI (Differential Rate of Interest) scheme.
Facilitator FLCC Rajouri, Brij Mohan Gondotra, also inter-acted with the growers and apprised them about various agricultural loan schemes particularly KCC.
