JAMMU, June 21: J&K Bank handed over 389 water proof tents to the district administration of Doda and Kishtwar to be donated among the earthquake affected families.
A team of J&K Bank officials headed by its President Abdul Rauf Bhat handed over 250 tents to Doda District Development Commissioner, Mubarak Singh and 139 tents were handed over to Kishtwar District Development Commissioner, Saleem Mohammad.
Bank’s Zonal Head, Jammu West, Mohammad Ibrahim, Cluster Head, Kishtwar, Mohammad Amin, other senior officers of the bank and district administration were present on the occasion.
DDC Doda Mubarak Singh said that the J&K Bank is not only playing a yeomen’s role in the economic development of the State, but has been a social crusader as well be it education, health, environment or any other socially relevant cause.
DDC Kishtwar, Saleem Mohammad expressed gratitude to Chairman of J&K Bank, Mushtaq Ahmad, for supporting the affected families in shortest possible time.
