JK Bank branches to work as tourism promotion units

SRINAGAR, Mar 7:  The JK Bank branches will be now promoting Jammu and Kashmir’s rich tourism potential across the country.
This was agreed today in a meeting between Secretary Tourism and Floriculture, Farooq A Shah and Chairman JK Bank, Parvez Ahmad.
They also agreed to sign an MoU in this regard in which JK Bank will promote the state of Jammu Kashmir in its all branches by providing publicity materials and other information to its clients and customers. Similarly the JK Bank website will also have information displays about the state tourism product and services. JKTDC packages will also be promoted in the respective branches.
The Secretary said that JK Bank is an established institution and will effectively help in promoting the State across the country and will be supported from the department in all its efforts to showcase rich potential of tourism in domestic market.
