JAMMU, Aug 9: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 626 fresh COVID positive cases while the UT of Ladakh recorded 17 positives.
Kashmir valley accounted for 512 new cases while Jammu division registered 114 cases.
Jammu district added 72 cases, Kishtwar and Ramban districts nine each, Doda eight, Udhampur five, Kathua and Poonch districts three each, Rajouri and Samba districts two each and Reasi district one.
Jammu and Kashmir now has 5146 active positive cases including 4011 in Kashmir division and 1135 in Jammu region.
A total of 525 persons recovered from the virus—403 in Kashmir and 122 in Jammu.
Meanwhile, the UT of Ladakh today logged 17 new cases–16 in Leh and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 118 active positive cases—110 in Leh and eight in Kargil.
