JJSF seeks probe into fire incident at SPMR College

JAMMU, Mar 21: Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF) has alleged that the fire incident in Government SPMR College of Commerce was not accidental but a deliberate attempt by the college authorities to destroy the evidences of alleged fraud, in which a complaint was filed with the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) on March 18, 2017.
Talking to media persons, here today, JJSF provincial president Vikram Singh Chib alleged fraud and misappropriation of funds in purchases made by the college authorities. This was apparently established in   an RTI reply following which a complaint was filed by me to SSP SVO Jammu,” he said and added that fearing consequences of the complaint, college authorities conspired to destroy the evidences.
While elaborating, Vikram disclosed that as per the information received through RTI, computers, laptops, projectors and photocopiers etc, installed in the college, are not according to the required specifications thus amounting to the loss of lakhs of rupees to the public exchequer.
The JJSF leader demanded that a special inquiry should be initiated to ascertain the truth behind the fire incident and head of the institution should be placed under suspension till conclusion of the enquiry.
Pushvinder Singh, Atul Sudan, Clinton Sharma and Sagar Chib were present during the press conference.
