Jehlum cruise capsizes

Sir,
Refer news item ‘After  pompous launch, Jehlum cruise capsizes’ DE July 8.
The main problem with our development agenda is that we frame so many policies and programmes for the welfare of masses. But most of the times these policies are not implemented. And if implemented  not executed sincerely. Sometimes these projects are executed to silence people or to make a bounty out of it during elections. While some projects are left half way after facing financial crunch or project feasibility.
There is no reason why any project cannot take off successfully if its short and long objectives are taken into consideration before hand, financial liability is well calculated and the benefits that can be  harvested from it. After taking all pros and cons in view, a project once started should be taken to its end. It is only then that any project cannot meet the same fate as does the passengers water transport service.
Yours etc….
