JE killed, 3 hurt in mishap

BHADERWAH, Sept 29: A 38-year-old Junior Engineer of Rural Development Department was killed and three others were seriously injured when the taxi they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Manthala on Bhaderwah-Dhumanda road this afternoon.
According to the reports, Tempo Trax bearing registration number JK06-9549 was on its way to Bhaderwah when driver lost control over it resulting into vehicle plunging into gorge.
On getting information about the accident, a police team from Bhaderwah Police Station rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the occupants of the vehicle were brought out of the gorge and shifted to Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Junior Engineer Pankaj Sharma, son of Surinder Sharma of Rainda Bhaderwah. The injured are Sanjay Kotwal, son of Fulail Singh of of Panjgranie Doda, Naveen Thakur, son of Lekh Raj and driver Ankush, son of Sansar Chand of Bhaderwah.
Later, Sanjay and Naveen were shifted to District Hospital Doda.
